Who are the nashville dolphins?

We are a nonprofit organization with a life-changing mission of providing water safety and aquatics programing to children and adults with special needs. We currently serve over 300 participants across 11 counties in Middle Tennessee at no cost. Since drowning is a leading cause death in children with special needs, our work is essential. The Dolphins also provide emotional support for so many wonderful people and their families along with life-long opportunities to develop physical fitness, build confidence, develop friendships and experience the joy and pride of being part of a team, just like you!

How Does a Swim-A-Thon Work?

Anyone can participate! Swimmers can tell their families, neighbors and friends that they are raising money for the Nashville Dolphins and can ask for pledges per lap or any fixed donation amount, if preferred. Swimmers can keep track of their pledges on the pledge sheet below if needed.

On the day of the scheduled event, coaches or volunteers count laps while the swimmers swim as many laps as they can. Then following the event, the swimmer can collect pledges. Donors can make their donations by using the donation button below or can mail a check to the Nashville Dolphins, 95 White Bridge Road, Suite 209, Nashville, TN 37205.

What are the Benefits of doing a Swim-A-Thon?

This year, we will give prizes to the top individual fundraisers on each team and will announce the winning swim teams in our newsletter! More importantly, giving back through a swim-a-thon makes a positive impact on the lives of our swimmers. We are so amazed by the kindness that all the wonderful kids show the Nashville Dolphins each year.
